elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7d372af\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, ICT director invited\u00a0<strong>Wangpo Tethong<\/strong>\u00a0the Tibetan <strong>Tibetologist<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Yangdon Dhondup<\/strong>, living in Leiden, and myself for a visit to the <strong>Ethnographic Museum<\/strong>. The museum houses a small collection\u00a0<strong>Tibetan religious artefacts<\/strong>.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wangpo told us that His Holiness the <strong>Dalai Lama visited the museum in 1985<\/strong> and opened the exhibition. He noted that it is sad that Tibetan cultural objects are highly regarded in Europe, while the <strong>Tibetan culture suppressed and marginalised in Chinese-occupied Tibet<\/strong>.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What we have remembered from today's visit is that culture should be lived, in freedom and in joy. <strong>Culture should not only be found in museums<\/strong>.<\/p><p
