On the other side of the Tiber was a pond with pleasure boats and a large square where a festival themed \u2018The Return of Buffalo Bill\u2019 was taking place. Again, with the usual loud music.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">Back along the <strong>Fellini Museum<\/strong>. I was already completely blown away in the <strong>Basilica and Sanctuary of Sant\u2019Apollinare<\/strong> in Classe, 5 km south of the town, which, fortunately, was on my route. There was such a serene atmosphere in the church. I could have sat there quietly for hours, just enjoying it. You can never get enough of the mosaics either. But I had to carry on\u2026.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">In Ravenna, I bought a combined ticket for five sites (\u20ac14.50 \u2013 which wasn\u2019t too bad):<\/div><div dir=\"auto\"><strong>1)<\/strong> Mausoleum of Gallia Placida<\/div><div dir=\"auto\"><strong>2)<\/strong> Basilica of San Vitale<\/div><div dir=\"auto\"><strong>3)<\/strong> Neonian Baptistery<\/div><div dir=\"auto\"><strong>4)<\/strong> Basilica of Sant\u2019Apollinare Nuovo<\/div><div dir=\"auto\"><strong>5)<\/strong> The Archiepiscopal Museum and the Chapel of St Andrew<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">Words aren\u2019t enough; I\u2019ll let the photos speak for themselves. And they\u2019re just photos, after all. You really have to see it with your own eyes.
