Wednesday, Nov 2: Nagarjuna centre in El Campello
Director Jessica Pastor welcomed me a little after six in Nagarjuna Alicante. However, since the corona pandemic, the centre has not been in Alicante established. When operations were not allowed to continue for some time and revenues dried up, the rent in Alicante was too high. In 2022, the centre moved to cheaper El Campello, 15 km north of Alicante. The layout was not quite completed. It still smelt of 'just painted' and there were still unpacked moving boxes.
At 7pm, a Chenrezig practice chaired by volunteer Jaime. A meditation guided by coordinator Jorge started at 20h.
Nagarjuna Alicante has a varied offering, ranging from a very informal weekly 'Dharma café', during which you can ask questions to the resident lama Ven. Fabio Poza, a mindfulness course, devotional practices, Buddhist philosophy classes for beginners and advanced students, and weekly guided meditation. Some activities are also available online.
