On my travels, I meet so many friendly, helpful and hospitable people.
They deserve a hall of fame.
The first city in the Balkans that I visited was Split, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Croatia.
The second leg of my cycle tour around the Adriatic Sea: the Balkan countries, probably as far as Dubrovnik in Croatia, perhaps even further…
In Venice, I visited the Biennale at the Arsenale, the Giardini and various venues around the city. I also took the opportunity to see the Pinault collection at Punta della Dogana and a compelling exhibition by Michael Armitage at Palazzo Grassi.
