July-September 2024: cycling tour through the Netherlands - Germany - Czech Republic (2,500 km)

Beneficiary: Shatsa in Ladakh

A library for Tibetan refugee children in Ladakh (Indian Himalayas), which aims to motivate young Tibetans in exile to read. To this end, they are developing a library operation in Choglamsar, offering books and magazines in Tibetan and English. They also organise other creative and educational projects for young people, including hard-to-reach children of nomads in the high mountains.

Summer 2022 - spring 2023: Cycling through France - Spain and Portugal (6,800 km)

Beneficiary: Tashi Lhunpo monastery in Bylakuppe India

Tashi Lhunpo wants to expand its educational offerings. It is the former monastery of the Panchen Lama, Tibet's second-highest spiritual leader, who was kidnapped by China in 1995 at the age of six.

May 2022: Cycle tour around the Netherlands (1,300 km)

Beneficiary: Manjushri foundation, Dharamsala -India

Manjushri designs adapted Tibetan learning materials for toddlers so that they can keep in touch with their mother tongue while in exile. We helped finance a block box with the Tibetan alphabet.

September - October 2021: Cycling tour around Belgium (1,190 km)

Beneficiary: Braille League - Belgium

After the terrible flood in Wallonia in July 2021, we raised funds for blind flood victims.

July-September 2020 and June-July 2021: hike around Belgium (1,260 km)

Beneficiary: Street nurses - Belgium

During the Covid pandemic, foreign trips were banned. Eva therefore stepped on foot around Belgium for a Belgian charity. Straatverplegers vzw provides hygienic and medical assistance to homeless people in Brussels and Liège and, where possible and in cooperation with other local associations, contributes to their re-housing.

May - September 2019: cycle tour around United Kingdom and Ireland (4,270 km)

Beneficiary: Cipriano in Bubaque (idem 2018)

Since Cipriano had to continue his studies for another two years after the trip to the North Cape, we did another bike ride for him.

May - September 2018: cycling trip to the North Cape (Norway) (5,000 km)

Good cause: teacher's certificate for Cipriano in Bubaque - Guinea-Bissau

Cipriano, an underprivileged boy on the island of Bubaque, experienced first-hand the deplorable state and lack of primary school teachers on his home island of Bubaque. He was therefore dying to become a teacher himself. Reach Out funded his studies at a college in Bissau to achieve that goal.
