Tuesday, July 30: Indre Nordmannseth - Honningsvåg (76 km)
Beautiful drive along the fjord and green hills with low tundra vegetation. Very wide vistas, the houses look like toy houses. The wind here can reach more than 70 metres/second, but fortunately this was not the case today. We enjoyed a gentle breeze and it was an exceptionally clear day, as it is often rather foggy here. The reindeer were also numerous.
The rather dangerous 7km tunnel to North Cape Island Magerøya I did not cycle, but rode along in the camper van of Els van Vlimmeren. On Magerøya itself, there also followed a 4.5 km tunnel in which there was an obvious lack of fresh air. It gave me a sore throat and I was glad to get through.
I also cycled past the location where the film ''Yearning for Today' from Knut Erik Jensen was turned.
Honningsvåg is a cosy port town, but everything was already closed when we arrived. We will visit it when we return from the North Cape.

August 1 : Honningsvåg - North Cape (32 km)
After 60 cycling days, 3,534.6 km and 34,324 altimeters, I reached the North Cape, the final destination of this trip for the student project in Bubaque.
Heartily thank you to the many sponsors, they gave me encouragement during the more difficult moments, which of course there have been. The counter now stands at 3500€.
The 'official' photo at the monument will follow later today, and if the sun cooperates I will try a second one tonight time lapse video shooting the midnight sun, as the first attempt in Andenes did not turn out well.
