Introduction to the Karma Deleg Chö Phel Ling Buddhist Study and Meditation Centre

An authentic Tibetan temple in the middle of the rural Frisian landscape. How is who ended up there?!

Shortly after the death of her husband in 1977, she donated Ageeth Franssen her land with farmstead on the 16th Karmapa, the then head of the Karma Kagyü school, one of the four main traditions within Tibetan Buddhism. Kagyu means 'ear whispered wisdom', wisdom passed on from teacher to student.

Ageeth was very keen on Buddhism and nurtured a desire to host a Buddhist centre there.
