Surely you can't pass by Karlovy Vary pass without getting into a thermal bath to go bobbing. That was my only occupation today. 7 km of cycling there, 3 hours of bathing, city walk and 7 km back. After the spa, I was so relaxed that I really just felt like plopping into a bed and lying motionless.
It was only after a meal and a stroll through town that my constitution picked up enough to cycle back to the campsite. I hope my little muscles will want to pedal well again tomorrow after all that pampering.
All photos: Balkan photos, city photos. The photos of the cycle route are listed in reverse chronological order. Those of the cities are listed chronologically.
In Venice, I visited the Biennale at the Arsenale, the Giardini and various venues around the city. I also took the opportunity to see the Pinault collection at Punta della Dogana and a compelling exhibition by Michael Armitage at Palazzo Grassi.
