17 May: Dinner and piano music at Marianne's home in Bracieux On Wednesday evening, Els and I were joined by Marianne Claus-van Der Made invited to dinner. She had seen on Facebook that we were in the area and sent me a message.
When, after installing our camp on the neighbouring Huttopia Le Châteaux campsitearrived at her home, we were warmly welcomed with an aperitif. Marianne's 17-year-old dog Samba got along well with Els' young and playful Jack (Russel). The young one showed great respect for the ageing and wise Samba. Marianne treated us to a delicious and healthy dinner with lots of vegetables. Very tasty after so many days of rather frugal meals prepared at the campsite. Before we left, she played a piece by Bach on the piano for us. Thursday at 12:00 we went back because I had forgotten to take a picture of our hostess and her dog from fatigue after a long and tiring drive. We exchanged cards and on top of all this hospitality Marianne donated for the Tashi Lhunpo monastery in India! What a great start to a new day! Thank you so much, Marianne!
