On Monday afternoon, I passed by the Tibetan shop for the second time 'Tenzin Tibet House' in Nijmegen. They sell beautiful Tibetan, Indian and other spiritual gadgets, from meditation cushions to singing bowls, figurines, books, tankas and mantras, and cool clothing. Definitely recommended for spiritual seekers or people who want to put on something different from the offerings of fashion houses.
Eline welcomed me warmly. We met once before in 2022, when I cycled around the Netherlands for Manjushri Foundation in Dharamsala. And in September 2024, I met her two Tibet activist daughters Kunsel and Nyima in Brussels, during the Tibet Empowerment Days organised by ICT Brussels. The world is small, especially when you are in a certain 'bubble'.
Yet again, I received a generous donation for the Dalai Lamas from Eline SEE Learning project at Ukraine. And a bonus for any visitors this summer: in a room behind the shop runs a very informative photo exhibition on the life of the Dalai Lama, following his 90th birthday. And what struck me: among the dozens of photos, there was not a single one hanging where the man is not smiling. What a blissful man.
