7 Dec '23: Easy and beautiful walk to Peñiscola
No long story today. It was an easy 16-km walk along the coast, with beautiful views and magnificent creeks and beaches to dream away on. About halfway, Els passed me with her UAZ Bukhanka.
Peñiscola was already totally in the Christmas spirit. Friday is a holiday here and it was already very busy tonight. Much busier than last year. Then I was here in October.
We strolled around the narrow streets, had a coffee and watched the Spaniards and tourists strolling by, and afterwards went for a small meal in a moody, tiny restaurant. When we got out there, it was raining lightly. Probably to the delight of the locals.
