In Venice, I visited the Biennale at the Arsenale, the Giardini and various venues around the city. I also took the opportunity to see the Pinault collection at Punta della Dogana and a compelling exhibition by Michael Armitage at Palazzo Grassi.

Along the way, you’ll pass through some lovely towns. Although visiting towns isn’t the main aim of this trip — apart from the Venice Biennale — I still try to go for a stroll around town and soak up the atmosphere for a while.
